MoneyGal2020 Commentary

Referring back to my blog post Now There’s a Mouthful:The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 dated 7/28/2010, in this article Michelle refers to 7 of the 60+ studies that were commissioned by this legislation. I share her hope that we end up with information from these studies that will further the protection of investors.

However, my thoughts are far more cynical. I believe that the junkyard dog will end up gumming us to death because it has no teeth. I would like to be wrong. But, I feel that special interests will wheedle their way into these studies and render some of the outcomes less beneficial than intended for the investing public.
